My money is on; this version of Aynirar is actually A-Bone.Not trying to psychoanalyze, but kinda think @Aynirar27 is in denial

Actually "Queer," whatever the fuck that means... but how do you understand it then?I still don’t really think that means teaching anyone how to be attracted to someone of the same sex.
it’s just a preference really. Gay is homosexuality, queer kind of encompasses all of the letters.Actually "Queer," whatever the fuck that means... but how do you understand it then?

And the part about "bringing queer ways of knowing and being into the education," and "how to live queerly?"it’s just a preference really. Gay is homosexuality, queer kind of encompasses all of the letters.
But anyways. It makes absolute sense to me why a bunch of “queers” would want people to understand their lifestyle. They want to do their thing and not get shit for it. That’s it.
It makes absolutely zero sense to me why they would want to make other people gay. Most would argue you can’t even make someone gay. The grooming stuff holds no weight to me.
Right. Understanding leads to compassion. Learning about how and why they are the way they are, lets people (hopefully) accept them for the way they are.And the part about "bringing queer ways of knowing and being into the education," and "how to live queerly?"
I don’t think the performers themselves want to be accepted by kids. They want future generations to have it better than they did growing up.Why is it so important that adult drag performers feel accepted by kids?
You can’t make Yabba understand anything.I don’t think the performers themselves want to be accepted by kids. They want future generations to have it better than they did growing up.
I’ll say one more thing and I’ll call it quits. I’ve certainly said enough lol.
First, I don’t think they are trying to make anyone gay. BUT if they were, or if you believe they are, I also don’t see anything wrong with being gay.
Some of you may think that being gay is a bad thing, and that is perfectly within your rights, but you should also admit that is the underlying reason you have issue with all this.
Yes trying to make a child become something is inherently wrong, but becoming gay or becoming straight is no different to me.
That’s really all I got. You guys can read in to it all you want, but that is literally the crux of the last days worth of posting.
Later queers
If I thought that's all it was about I would more or less agree with you. I don't think you need drag shows and queer pedagogy to teach basic respect for different people though. I think there's a lot more going on here, and seems like you're unwilling to see it.That’s really all I got. You guys can read in to it all you want
You may as well give up on explaining your point of view to Aynirar. It's evident from all his posts that he's closing his eyes and mind to anything that doesn't match his perspective. Or maybe he is to dense to understand that the issue is not about dressing in drag or even drag queens reading to kids (with parental approval). Its about schools, libraries and other institutions forcing these topics on children when its not their place to do so.If I thought that's all it was about I would more or less agree with you. I don't think you need drag shows and queer pedagogy to teach basic respect for different people though. I think there's a lot more going on here, and seems like you're unwilling to see it.

I get what you're saying and think it's worth considering. I'm not sure that being straight is engineered or even simply status quo — it's the reason our weird-ass species continues.Has being straight been so engrained in our society as being “normal” that we don’t even realize that we are conditioning our kids to think that way?
Yeah, changing norms are being pushed by a small minority. A lot of people resent that. It's not very "democratic" is it?societal norms are changing whether we like it or not
It’s certainly a little extreme, but for me at least, when I approach something objectively the best way is to take Group A and Group B, make them do the same exact thing, and then consider the reaction.I get what you're saying and think it's worth considering. I'm not sure that being straight is engineered or even simply status quo — it's the reason our weird-ass species continues.
Not necessarily. It’s sort of a lazy argument, but look how far woman’s rights or black rights have come. It’s hard to see from the present how good or bad things really are. Society will always change. I think the difference between you and I is that I see “the writing on the wall” to be a bit more organic and less pushed.Yeah, changing norms are being pushed by a small minority. Bro.....I’ll ask one more thing lol. It’s a hypothetical that I ask myself when working out thoughts.
Say a school put together a class where a bunch of gay people came in and talked about their weddings.
