What is going on here?
More up front sure, but from a maintenance perspective, much cheaper long term.@Aynirar27 - I see you are still going at it. I commend you for taking all of this on pretty much by yourself. And to someone else's point - this conversation has been pretty civil. It would have devolved pretty rapidly about a month ago.
That seems contradictory to what you were saying before?
It is more than just men in dresses.
I've heard that these new fangled restrooms that you think are neat, are actually going to be more expensive and will ultimately hit consumers in the wallet.
Lol an old Snapchat filter. Oddly it was already on my phone, not taken for this thread. What is going on here?
Everything will be completely neutral. The sign on the door will just say “restroom”.Seems like the obvious answer to me. But I have a hunch it will not fly with newly "identified", where any less than total acceptance that they are what they claim is call for "BIGOT!"
Is it conceivable to think that the gays may cause people to think they were more of less trying to indoctrinate a gay lifestyle, but the 2nd group would not be seen as trying to indoctrinate a “straight” lifestyle. Has being straight been so engrained in our society as being “normal” that we don’t even realize that we are conditioning our kids to think that way.
You've been saying up until now that drag is not gay. Or are we now talking about Gay Story Hour? Sorry. Trying to catch up.Personally, I don’t think most of us are pushing any agenda. BUT societal norms are changing whether we like it or not. I’m sure homosexuality will always be in the minority, but I don’t think it will be as fringe as it is now. It will be normal, and accepted just the same.
I feel that is an ok thing to happen, and that is why I’m ok with children learning that the “gay lifestyle” is a thing. They will be exposed to it no matter what, and these story times seem like a controlled environment to do so.
That was me not being clear I guess. I reckon most people that do drag are gay. But I dont think the expression of drag is about showing the world you are gay. There are plenty of ways to do that. You really lost me with this post #473 of yours. You have to be kidding right? "Has being straight been so engrained in our society as being normal.....". Dude. I don't even. How do you think we got the society? Sperm from a man has to fertilize a woman's egg. Parents have kids. Society grows.
As I've said before if people want to be gay that's fine. I have friends that are gay. I have educated myself. I am tolerant of their lifestyle. But I am not bigot when I say that gay sex does not create babies and therefore is not part of the norm that keeps a society moving through the ages.

I have some issues with your answer:Am I supposed to believe you're a monkey / man hybrid?
I want to interject real quick here to say it's a nice change of pace to see a controversial topic like this go for so many pages without it devolving into petty back and forth name calling. It just proves that the majority of members here can have an overall civil discussion even if they don't agree on matters.
Agreed guys. I'm sure you're not alone in noticing this. And to someone else's point - this conversation has been pretty civil. It would have devolved pretty rapidly about a month ago.
IM KNOTTIt’s been pretty chill so far
Everyone is mad at me about drag queens, but that’s about par for the course
This place smells soooooo much better!Amazing what a difference the absence of the incessant ad-hominem and alt accusations makes.
Hey, that's simianist!
Because they aren't accepted by most adults? Why is it so important that adult drag performers feel accepted by kids?
Right… kids don’t need to accept or be exposed to strippers, drag queens, hookers, skanks, pedos, sheep lovers, dominatrix, people suckin toes or any other ADULT fetishes…Why is it so important that adult drag performers feel accepted by kids?
Because they aren't accepted by most adults?
FineThis is where the argument falls apart. Drag shows are very popular with adults in lots of places across the country. Just check your local Yellow Pages and see what they charge for a gig.
Not fineSame with a lot of parents of children. The shows for kids and their parents in libraries or schools, etc. are always booked solid and very well attended.
