What's with all the modded Marshalls and "Jose" mods this year?

No kidding. I bought a new Vette last year. Now if I could only grow my hair back. :dunno:

That's me. The funny thing is when I was in the military I used to say "when I retire, I'm getting a full sleeve tattoo, hair down to my ass, and a Harley. I'm scared to ride motorcycles, no tattoos and bald as a newborn.

I should have disposable income, but my kids are heading off to college in consecutive years. My wallet will be coughing dust for a while unfortunately. :(

Ha!! well im 42, have had two jobs since i was 16, never wanted kids so marriage was out of the question, i have my heard of 60s muscle cars, i can still pull in chicks in their mid 20's even with my bald ass dome and snow white beard, i got albums worth of panty dropping riffs im ready to record.. im gonna enjoy my 40s.

Just got to time it right to find a twice divorced lady at 50 to set up having someone be nice to you and get your juice when your pissing into a bag 15 years later. Gotta lock ‘em down long enough where they’re too tired to do it again with someone else.

I feel like it's a pendulum swing against the super narrow djent sound and other compressed modern tones.

Part of it is people realizing that the super narrow midrangey djent tones dominate a mix, and there's either no room for anything else, or the narrow midrangey tone sounds anemic without dominating the entire mix volume wise.

It's the reason even though I love that 5150 sound, I can never get along with them, and never record with them

those are awesome man.

My first hot rod was a 4 door falcon 289 cobra jet. Built it with my brother in law that owned a junk yard. Also had a 81 Camaro where we put in a 69' Nova posi rear by moving the brackets, 4 speed rock crusher, 68' 327 with vette fuelie heads, Weind high rise single plane, 11:1 piston, HEI, and alumicoat headers. The nova rear allowed me to use 375's with the shorter axle.

I had to settle on a newer ride these days, but I dig her.

sick!! i was gonna go new and reliable but i saw this Comet on the internet in Oregon, asked the dude if he wanted and he said yeah LOL, so instead of finishing my other projects here we are with another. I just put 4:11's and a top loader with a hurst ramrod shifter, and i had the 289 built around this cross ram, not sure how great its gonna be on the street but i guess we will see on the dyno next week, the cool factor is definitely there though and i could keep my stock hood

it's gonna be a rocket man, lol. They are a beast engine, and 4:11 are ridiculous. I had a 4:10 in that nova rear. I was showing off at a party one night, and laid down about 20 feet of rubber. One wheel hit dirt with the posi, and that was all she wrote. My brother in law brought my gears back to me in a paper bag.

This new ride is a 2017 GT. It's basic as basic gets, 6 speed, performance pack. I have the ford PP2, so it's putting out a bit more tq and hp. I plan on going forced induction at some point, as they are coming down in price for some sick bang for the buck.

For me too on a lot of modern high gain amps. The cocked, peaked mid thing messes up the balance when trying to mix it in. It gets to where I don’t hear anything in the guitar sound but that weeeiiird mid quacking out at me!
I will say I have some old band demos where I used an OG 5150 and it doesn’t have that character. I noticed it more once the 5150 II came in.

It's so prevalent in modern metal and rock recordings that it's gonna take a complete tonal paradigm shift for people to move away from it, I think

yeah i didnt go crazy on the motor at all, thats certainly not the car im looking to go fast in, it sits so high that the front brakes dont really do shit with all the weight on the back, i figured i needed 4:10s though with that manifold to get the rpms up quick for around town driving. something newer like you got with a supercharger with things like air and a nice stereo i could drive everywhere would have made so much more sense lol

I really dislike how cheap quality they are, and generic sounding they are. I have to say though, I play through them, and enjoy it every time. I sold the last one I had, but made sure I gave a super deal to a friend. I go over there when he inevitably wires his crazy system wrong, and I have to fix it, but it's a joy plugging into that thing every time. I want to hate, but can't. :dunno:

lol, my 81 Camaro had Cadillac Eldorado springs in the front, since it started life as a 6 cyl. It looked like a drag car parked, lol.

The grass is always greener man, I wish I had kept that Falcon.

Can't wait for the Youtube compression mimicking, boost pedal. Instantly dial in your favorite Youtuber's tone with Youtube clone (tm) technology in full (highly diminished) Youtube fidelity! You already know what the pedal's graphics will look like...

Just a giant soyjack mouth, perhaps in the style of the rolling stones lips logo

All of the demos will be alternating between doing the messhuggah riff and "eruption"
