What's with all the modded Marshalls and "Jose" mods this year?

FWIW - That car is the culmination of over 10 years of saving for and paying off 2 very nice but much 'simpler' TAs that I sold to get into the Black one. I do have some thoughts on the muscle car hobby that I think translate directly to the music gear hobby.

1) If you have a car that you do not need to drive (or amps that you do not need to play) you are blessed.

2) 'Better' on paper doesn't necessarily mean that you are actually going to do anything different with it than the one you already have.

3) Pictures and videos online are often processed to make things look - or sound - near perfect. Which isn't how they actually look or sound.

The better on paper one is the most important. I’m so sick of the modern day testing cars in drag races and journalists taking them around tracks. What I want in a car is the sum of all parts and the character. Not statistics. Emotion.

Well now this this thread has gone the way of 4-wheeled Money Pits... here is my LS9 powered '73 TA:
Money pits? 😄 It sure adds up, alittle here and alittle there. Shocking when I think how much is in my wagon now. I just try not to think about it..

Yours looks very nice.

Need alittle arm twisting? 😎
Maybe , I tuned my F150 though so that takes some of the temptation down a notch.

Only by a little, it’s nice to be able to tow boats or dirt bikes and still get five second 0 to 60s but it’s not the same as having a cool car.

It’s alittle bit addicting 😎

53 here and feeling foxy !!
Cool cars, guitars and amps... aka living. I love the old muscle cars but got one of my dream car a couple years ago.
I don't think I've had a midlife crisis, I've always been like "ya only live once, stop talking, just do it"

i can still pull in chicks in their mid 20's even with my bald ass dome and snow white beard
As a 41 year old single guy who has only been single for a few years after a 22+ year relationship, i was a little surprised to see how easy that actually is. Like if you've kept yourself in good shape, aren't totally out of touch, and have the confidence to approach them at bars, your chances are pretty decent these days. They probably aren't gunna stick around long, but they'll bang u just for the experience. these young girls are super permiscuous these days, and addictied to attention. Which is why i actually do prefer women my own age... generally they're actually a bit LESS nuts. I've turned down TWO different 22 year olds in the past 3 months that both approached ME! i still have all my hair (complete with its natural color) and look 10 years younger than i am, but still, that was one hell of a self esteem boost that i DID NOT expect lol. What a great time to be alive!!

Just as long as they are women. It’s much harder to tell these days. That’s the downside.

I understand my friend, I’m a good looking baby face dude, I have this snow white beard down to my belly button now which I get asked if I dye it three times a day, I dress well and I’m totally confident. I live in a town with two colleges so our bars are constantly filled with 20somethings, it’s all but guaranteed I’m gonna get approached by a few asking to braid it which is the perfect conversation starter, a simple stoic “I can’t believe you think I’m that easy” or some dumb bullshit is all it takes, keep it cool and you’re in there. A wise man once told me 42 is the best age, and im understanding why lol

I dated a 20 something for a bit. There comes a point, when it's just too far of a divide. When they are closer to my kids age, it just doesn't work anymore. Take advantage my friend.

One thing I’ve learnt from this thread, lots of egos to go with those Jose amps. 😂
