yes, but for cable I guess I need a midi one with DIM pins one side and classic 5 midi pin on the other side, right?

no Europe e-shop seem to sell the Nobels MF1 anymore...

thoman finished them, so musick productiv so music store...

can you suggest me any other e-shop?

thanx

I would go with eBay. I know you want to buy it new but I couldn't find any shop selling the MF1 either.

Hmmmm, I ordered a midi mate to do the switching on my incoming herbert.. I didnt think I would have to mod anything. I'm still unclear on that after reading this post

midi mate pins polarity is different from the herbert midi in, so midi moose so many other.
it's heaven & hell :)

so I'd have to mod the cable you are saying. hmmm thats not exactly what I was wanting to hear

that's why i write here so so much before to buy anything, these things costs and are not plug and play working. midi is simple if you know it... i didn't know anything before, now i know a little more thank this forum :)
you need to be sure that erything will work.
a tech would help you. i'm not a tech :P but i don't think it will work as it is from the pack.
so for what i've understood you can A) modify the midi cable B) the pedalboard.
if you don't modify anything things are 2 : best option - 1 it won't work
2 you'll cook it :)

My god I love this shit, danger in the world of tech. I sure dont want to fry anything and I sure dont know anything.. Looks like maybe if I can afford it the columbus might be better

I notice that my designation as (HACK) is entirely appropriate

Columbus is built for the Herbert & VH4 so YES.
it's like Coca and Cola :)

i have to buy something cheaper though

I don't think it was built with the VH4 in mind primarily...Herbert + Columbus = Good times.

Hi Guys! I just bought a Nobles MF-2 but need help setting it up to be used with a Rocktron Xpression and the Herbert. Do any of you guys have one and know the best way to program it or have any suggestions?

Thanks for your help and time!

Chris

Out the switchable loop send and into the Xpression input, then out Xpression output and into the Herbert parallel return. That way I get the benefit of the mix feature of the parallel loop but it is now switchable.

Make sure Herbert is in omni-mode -> manual.
Usually the footswitch will change the presets on the Xpression when a button is pushed on the footswitch. What you need to do when you want to assign a different preset:
Push the footswitch button (ie 1), set the Herberts channel manually, select the preset on the Xpression manually, make sure the loop is engaged on the Herbert, press the Store button on the Herbert once and the lights will start flashing, now press the Store button again, done. Repeat with other buttons, channels, presets as desired. :)

Thanks! So you go from the MF-2's switchable loop send into the Xpression then from the xpression you go into the Herbert parallel return? Is this with the Midi cables? Im new to Midi and foot controlers so forgive me if I have noob questions.

Thanks again for your time and help!

Chris

You got the midi and audio cables mixed up.

MIDI: MF2 Out --> Herbert In, Herbert Out --> Expression
AUDIO: Just like Scott wrote.

Umm, no...I think...

I have a Columbus, which goes into the XLR on the back. Not sure how the MF-2 works.

You go out of the switchable send of the Herbert into the Xpression input. Out of the Xpression output into the Herberts parallel return. This takes care of the Herbert and the Xpression and all you have to figure out now is the MF-2.
