He was Irish.

Was he really? I was thinking since there are white CCV's and Black CCV's why not hold true to Jose and have a black and white or white and black made. Maybe with skunk stripes. That would give us Jose's nationality. Puerto Rican right? Wasn't Jose Puerto Rican?

My wife picked out the white chicken heads, to be honest I like them too. I also tried out a set of white stove top knobs. She thought it looked best with the chicken heads, so chicken heads it is. If I can get an awesome new amp and she's happy about it, she can pick whatever she likes.

I been wanting to check out a DSL for a while and hear good things about them.

The modded DSL is a great amp. I'm not sure if it's the hype behind it or what, but the CCV just sounds so much bigger and angry. My first description of monstrous and versatile still stands. I love my modded DSLs, they are 100% Marshall and sound great. The CCV definitely has Marshall tone it, but it's angry. The CCV has this growl about it as well as articulation and bite. It's so versatile I still haven't tried all the switch position combination.

I will use the SLO to keep my CCV fresh for gigs....

And, I will go on to say that this particular CCV, the Prototype, is the first amp I have played that doesn't need any assistance in the form of a 2-amp rig. The SLO is good. The CCV is better. It's huge.....
