The tone has a presence to it. Almost like the incredible hulk is coming out of your speakers . In a fight the CCV would win. When you bring the incredible hulk with you to your gig, you will not need anyone else. He will kick all their asses without help.:

Wow! Does it come in green? :D
You like that? They'll make you a green one if you want. I thought you wanted vintage white?
Yes, but a Hulk themed CCV would be oh-so very cool!

A green jewel lens would put it over-the-top!

All I can say is this....I have owned several 101B's, a 100B previously owned by Joe Satriani, SLO-100R, Cameron Jose Marshalls, Marsha, Landry, PWE, Diezel Einstein, Bogner Fish, and so on and the CCV smokes all of them. It's more versatile, has a better clean, bigger sonic footprint, more gain, more clarity, more sustain than all of them.
fucperinchit you should check them out...the clips don't do it justice as they don't for pretty much any amp. Of the amps I have had the Marsha, Cameron Jose, SLO and 100B were the only ones that seriously could come anywhere close to the CCV. The CCV is a LOT more Marshally than the 100B which still has that darkish Bogner tone.
Still there's a bit of Bogner in the CCV...I'd say it's 60% Jose Marshall, 10% Bogner, 30% who knows.
One can listen to clips and wonder if the CCV is that good....let me tell you it IS!

You forgot to mention VHT, Steavens, Rhoads, and Peters.

None of the CCV clips I've heard would compel me into selling my Bogner's - or my Cornford MK. The 100B variac option is unbeatable! ;) I just want a CCV to add to my collection. Mark is a former lead-tech with Bogner, so having a CCV is pretty-much a must-have deal for me.

Yes, and eventually, the young Jedi apprentice will surpass the ageing Jedi master in terms of skill and innovative techniques and approaches.

The new master, Mark Cameron is.

All kidding aside - I'm really excited about these amps finally becoming a reality. I can never tell from most of the clips - plus I don't think we've heard the final version of the CCV - have we? I'm sure I'm going to love it... The thought of getting it in custom colors is just about as cool as it gets.

I think my dad said something similar back in 1959 about this Les Paul guitar, but he decided to wait for the bugs to be worked out... :hys:

Well, I'm now hearing about the prototype. Was Mark Day playing the final design? I think the question is relevant...

Is your dad retarded?

I'm just messing around. I'm not sure if they are planning changes for the 2nd run or future runs. I'm sure if they're built over time, changes will happen. Just the evolution of any product. You never know which one is going to be the "gold" one.

It's just that there's been so much going on with this amplifier line. I just want to hear some clips from a final production model. Some gut-shots would be cool too!

I'm pretty sure the clips from the LA Amp Show are clips of the production model. It sure seems like they did their work and chose all the Mark Cameron dream components. The only thing I can say definitively say is -- I like it.

The clips from the LA Amp Show were production models and all were pre-sold and out the door when the show finished.

Dammit-man! Seems like everyone's getting a new CCV except for me... :aww:

Mark Day WAS NOT playing the final design, that was an early prototype in that video and will be taken down by us. The amp was revised several times before the production amp was finalized. The proto Steve K got was the final version that everyone digs and is the same amp you get with the production CCV.

There are no changes planned for the CCV going forward. It sounds like we want it too and it is the final version of the CCV model. Instead of changing a model every week and confusing everyone with revisions like some other manufactures do we will just introduce new designs. The production CCV is what we envisioned for the model when we started.

Any of the clips from the 2011 LA Amp show are the final production CCV
