Gear is nice, I'm very grateful to get to play/own the gear I have. But... would anyone *really* care if I had to sell my rig and played a jvm/stock strat or lp and a boss delay? Nope, only the few guitarists in the back with their arms crossed
...still not gonna make that move unless I *have* to though
My bass player thinks I have a sickness with this 'tone' thing.
Just freakin' play!
No kidding man. I say this over and over... any of the amps talked about on this or other forums is MORE than adequate for gigging much less guys who play at home exclusively. To go through the merry-go-round is counter-productive to playing.
You don't need to have a $4k amp to get the job done.
My bass player says "you always sound good, I don't get it, why do you keep changing amps? Why do you own more that one amp anyway?"
A voice of reason....listen to it.
Yep... I get a similar kind of response... from other guitar players no less.
"Sounds like you..."
