But with some fixed values right?Yep, it IS a standout exactly. Is what I am told.

Thought you were referring to the Henning Hype boost, my bad. So I guess maybe you're correct. The M80 is based on the Standout. The Hype boost IS the Standout. I may list the M80 if interested. But with some fixed values right?
Do you have a link to share? Would be highly appreciated.Message them on the Deadweald Audio Facebook page. Very quick responses. You can also see this pedal in action when my BE100 video goes up today
That was my post/picture/pedal. LolSo, I just saw this online. Apparently this is the board on some of the endless blockades. This is hilarious. Wanted to share.
heh, does that say "zach koury is a bitch"? nice touch. So, I just saw this online. Apparently this is the board on some of the endless blockades. This is hilarious. Wanted to share.
He offers 2 blockades in 1 instead of just adding Jacks and updating the design? That's the difference between guys who just mod existing designs and the guys who know their shit and can design solutions. A million pedal companies out there but guys who have a deep understanding of circuits are few and far between. Hell I would give the guy a pass if he wasn't such an ego maniac who really can't back it up with his designs or quality.I would consider buying one tbh but I am pretty set with my gate needs. I must have 4CM no compromise and the Duality DX is pretty killer. Plus I have an NS2 to use other boosts.
He said the blockade doesn't do 4cm and he offers a 2 blockade in 1 pedal for that. Im sure its amazing but I cannot justify that price tag. Maybe it's slightly better than the rest? Idk but unless it was some groundbreaking 100% no note loss + perfect gating then I can't justify.
Yeah I talked to him quite a bit about it. I had to pass. For one it is like $430..Nope..But yes it is 2 separate Blockades in 1. Which TBH is kind of cool. 2 guitarists can use the same pedal, Or wet dry, can hit the front of 2 amps or the loop or whatever you want but the other deal breaker for me was you need a splitter on this one like the zuul. I dont want a gate that requires a cheap boss tuner to operate. He offers 2 blockades in 1 instead of just adding Jacks and updating the design? If you are using the Duality dx in 4cm I think it's noise gate is more than enough in most applications. I use it on my Ceres/PA50 rig which I favor over my Mark IV rig these days.
The G string mini does a good clean job, but fading sustain or low guitar volume/soft picking gets weird. The fade is choppy at the end.Yeah I talked to him quite a bit about it. I had to pass. The Duality is excellent and will be sticking around but...Man even that kills legato notes like no other. I may just get another Gstring 2. It has been a while but from what I remember that pedal had a very good balance between gating and letting notes pass through. In MY opinion the Duality does not. It is all or nothing. Still trying to find that perfect noise gate. I am picky and demand a 4cm.
Yeah exactly, I barely play the stuff I would need the gate off for. And if I do, I am at home so whatever. Not gigging and at my age I do not plan to.The G string mini does a good clean job, but fading sustain or low guitar volume/soft picking gets weird. The fade is choppy at the end.
But you guys might not use sustain that long in your playing style. And so far any heavy metal guitarist has yet to come forward with low vol/soft picking
So the Golem would not work for you?Yeah I talked to him quite a bit about it. I had to pass. For one it is like $430..Nope..But yes it is 2 separate Blockades in 1. Not sure, have never seen the Golem. So the Golem would not work for you?
I tried DeciMate g string but felt sustaii/low vol/soft picking was not acceptable for me. What have you found to suit you the best so far?
Zuul mini feels better than isp gstring mini imho, but golem sounds like a better option and more versatile. I'd like something where i can set sustain.
Welcome back. After 4 years of making this thread (yeah that's me don't ban me again pls)
I finally got one of these. Used for $175ish and I'm more than happy with it. Figured I would just bump this instead of making a new thread.
I probably should have researched some other gates because after 4 years this is old now and I know there are others out there, maybe even better than this one? I had my eye on the Lichtlaerm but wanted to try this one.
I've used a fair handful of noise pedals. NS2, G string 2, Smart Gate and a few others. This one is absolutely better than all of them. Of course it isn't 100% perfect, I'm not sure that exists with a noise gate.
I'm just curious now, to those who use this or have used this what settings do you go to?
Also what else is out there today that you think may be better?
For me the Highwind Phalanx and Deadweald Golem are better, but still not perfect eitherAfter 4 years of making this thread (yeah that's me don't ban me again pls)

I had the Duality, great pedal. Will keep those on the radar. For me the Highwind Phalanx and Deadweald Golem are better, but still not perfect either
