The Endless Blockade sucks the tone a bit more compared to the Zuul but will let you control the decay a bit better. I had them all at some point, the best for me now is The Key And Gate from Lichtlaerm Audio. It's like the Zuul but with a pass thru and envelope filter instead of a preset chip to tracking the signal.

I want to try the key and gate pretty badly. Its a great idea.

I’d like to try one as well...but it’s $250 USD.

How much are they charging to ship. Says 189 euros including VAT. They should remove the 19% VAT, but then the Euro/dollar exchange rate is 1.18 - so it puts you about $188 before shipping costs

I went to their website and it was charging both shipping an VAT when I entered in my address in the shopping card. It even took me to paypal showing $249.

I'd email them. Probably just the way their system is set up. They shouldn't charge VAT if it is shipping out of the EU.

I just double checked again tonight. Total is 214 euro. With PayPal’s conversation rate the cost is $264 shipped. That’s insane.

Almost 99 percent sure the endless blockade is another zuul clone based on the components/layout of the pcb. It has been said by someone claiming to have and have traced one that the range switch has been made external modded into a voltage divider and something else has the resistance made variable and external. I forget now.

It is being traced by the DIY community as we speak.

If it is something new it will hit the DIY market and we will see exactly what it is, if it is not Lone Wolf guy is a compulsive liar who intentionally dupes his customers with lies. ?

I did see a thread at the ampmetalpedalpage where lone wolf guy was arguing with someone who said his gate wouldn’t work well in a parallel loop. He argued and argued that his gate was the best and would work in any loop. That is when I lost all confidence that he knows anything about gates or loops at all beyond copying. Or he was simply intentionally lying to make a sale.

Either way WTF. He argued his gate would kill all the noise in a parallel loop. With the signal also NOT passing through the gate and then mixed back into the output. Impossible.

lol. Lying for the almighty dollar.

Jordan from Highwind said it’s possible to add a few extra knobs to be able to tweak the Zuul circuit to be able to find tune.

I just got a few pedals from them to check out including the Key and Gate. Going to do some vids for sure.

Was the key and gate actually $260 shipped? I was going to buy one last night but $260 is not for me. lol

No clue. They have a box of pedals going out to guys to demo/check out so I got on that list. I like that no buffer pedal or Tuner is needed to run it. I LOVE my Zuul. I know it's out of favor but it works great in my setup.

I understand that the buffer is always on? That's a major negative for me. 100% of the time I have more high end added to the signal from using buffers than I have going straight into my amp with a 10 foot cord.

I can’t wait for the results.

ISP has always done me well. Never an issue, keeps everything dead silent, it works. If it isn't broke, I have no need to fix it.

Me and a mate did our own shoot out and the zuul smashed the blockade both in front and in the loop. The blockade really sucks for the price its not good enough. Have had nothing but dramas since I got it I have gone back to a decimator for now waiting on a klirrton schnauzer and might get the key and gate too
Ps the build on the blockade sucks

The endless blockade sporting Shotty over sized holes that cause noise when bumped, strange foam piece inside with pc boards just floating around and poor soldering ...any wonder I have so many issues with noise when its supposed to block the noise...

What is this? A cut trace?

Whatever it is its surely my fault of course lol
I just want it gone but I feel sorry for the poor person that buys it :(

You must not turn the gain knob up past 4. The 15+ Mark series Boogies I’ve owned all hissed and hummed... including the ones I had fully serviced. :D
Watch my videos, zero hiss while the gain is over the-top!

Seems like the video was planned and biased from the beginning perhaps

Not to completely resurrect the thread, but this looks to confirm the Endless Blockade is indeed just a Zuul clone with the Zuul’s threshold/“range” switch and a control of the “key” signal being on pots instead of resistors.

He modded a Zuul and now he is pissed cause he got caught. I mean if you are going to pass something off as a Zuul killer and completely orginal design at least make sure its actually an original design. The guy is basically a glorified pedal modder.

His prices reflect otherwise. Haha

Someone just posted this image on the “heavy metal amps & pedals” Facebook page and holy shit i laughed so hard. Of course dude got super butthurt and locked the thread, too

That whole group is full of super sensitive moderators.
I have had no personal experiences with Joe, but I've honestly steered clear because of his reputation.

I just got a Deadweald Golem 2 channel noise gate pedal, and it's insanely good, so I have no dog in this fight.
