With my crappy pc speakers I think clip 2 sounds better for that there Gojira diddy. It seems a little more compressed & tighter. It seems a little more scooped, but fits nice & neater with the style of riff. Clip 1 is a little more open & the fuller mids seem to get in the way a little bit.

I agree, just more hair to it, it sounded more pissed off!!!
 
I liked the 1st one too. More throaty and thicker sounding. And it had alot more character. Clip 2 was kinda generic sounding.

It's the remainder of the clip that is in question. The entropy, not the accretion of the vibe.
 
Number one....more balls, but number two might cut better in a mix.
 
#1 got my vote although as someone said earlier #2 might cut better in a mix.

This is why I chose 2. Was more in my face...but this is off tiny laptop speakers, qualified statement.

Nice Gojira choice. Now all you need me yelling my sailor impression and it'll be solid. 1st one is raw and open, reminds me of my 5150. 2nd one is indeed tighter. haha something in the middle would make my day
