Thread was originally titled "who'd like to know the inside truth about HC?", and the original post has been modified since then. But it's still quite evident upon examination of your posts on the first page that you were "hitting on" everyone you could...including the moderator of HC whose family you threatened, after you were banned from HC.

Everything we know about God has been written by men. And men are not to be trusted, especially on a subject of such obvious power. That's why I'll wait until God talks directly to ME before I am certain. Even then I'll probably be suspicious, but I'm sure he'll understand because, after all, he MADE me this way. I want no part of a God that punishes me for exercising what he gave me.

IMO, thinking that you have the one and only correct version of things is will-full ignorance. Especially now that we have access to so much information about the rest of the world and our history. So many claim (and have claimed) the one true version, and every single one believe(d) they were right. How can that be? It can't. As much as you believe that you are right and the other guy is wrong is as much as that guy thinks he is right and you are wrong. That alone should be enough. There's gotta be a lot of WRONG people out there... why should YOU be the one who is right?

I'm not saying that any given version is wrong... I'm just saying that it's wrong to think yours is the only *right* one. If there is a God, I'd bet that he frowns on that.

Also, sure the Jews wrote about Jesus, as they did mnay figures in history. They emphatically deny he was any savior. If I were pro-Christian, I'd hardly bring the Jews into the debate. They were right there, and have no self-preservation or confict of interest issues.

As to the rest of your post the "only ones that have it right" attitude is also very self evident on the side of those who claim "there is no God" or "Jesus is a myth". Seems religious and non religious people can fall into the self rightous attitude. So lets just be fair and say that attitude is a people problem not a religious one.

Actually the New Testament which is emphatically pro Jesus was predominately written by Jews so to leave them out of the debate would be stupid.

I said that claiming to know the truth about God, whatever version, regardless of whether or not you keep it personal or push it on others, is probably something that he shakes his head at. He understands it, of course, because he made us this way. He *knows* there is no way for us to know, and will shake his head at us until we realize and accept that. And it's okay.
