As opposed to Scott who gets the amp to you in 6 weeks and then calls you to apologize that it took so long because he was swamped with orders! LOL! :D

Not thanks! I'll take the Splawn. Oh shit.. why did I get involved in this shitstorm.. LOL! :D
:D

I find myself asking myself the same question! you're normally neutral like the fuckin' Swiss..lol

Assume much?

Maybe people wouldn't have to assume much if Cameron would communicate and keep their promises. But Cameron's silence and actions (or lack thereof) leave people with nothing to do but assume. 100% of the blame is on Cameron and they are responsible for any and all rumors and assumptions since they refuse to deliver product or communicate.

another point is that there are people who ordered CCV/M amps that dont go on the forum

Just realized my last post made no sense! LOL! :D

Perhaps Cameron should look at Voodoo an Splawn on how to run a business and deal with the consumer. I could care less how "nice" a guy is of how much of a "genius" MC is he should be working for someone else as its very obvious he doesnt know how to work for himself. Sad to see

True. But i wish Splawn and Voodoo would listen to a Aldrich modded Cameron amp and make something that could sound as good as it. :D

when i first spoke with scott about 2 years ago it was him and 2 guys building the amps, so thats 3 guys total, i forgot how many amps he was building a week but even if he was doing everything by himself he would still be alot quicker than cameron. like his amps or not scott is very reliable and appreciates his customers. people can get pissed all they want and hate splawn amps but scott is known for delivering the goods while some guys are known for great amp mods that might take 2 years to get back if you ever get your amp back.

Having said that I was debating ordering a ccv for a while now. Until something changes I won't. When J.B. gets a refund you know you need to step back and take a look at what's going on. I can defend an optimistic eta set by Mark and Chris and not wanting to backpedal when the unrealistic goal is not reached, but something else is going on. I don't think for one second these guys are out to rip off anyone, but the fact that they are not very business savvy should be obvious to anyone who's not a retard.

i think i remember j.b. telling me he would have his amp in sept, then it changed and he told me december and it kept on changing and i guess he took his refund. he isnt one to complain about this stuff either.
i think its a shitty situation but i dont think anybodys gonna lose their money but i do think any date you get you can add 6 months to a year to it and then get your amp. wasnt the first amps supposed to arrive back in august and then they had a problem with a supplier.

Exactly!!
But let's face it.. Splawn's don't exactly suck... ;)
I play my QR ALOT and I love that thing.

Well I'm not here to bash either side but after reading this I'm glad I don't fork over large amounts for deposits on music equipment. Cliff Chase the owner of Fractal Audio institutes a waiting list for his AxeFx. Costs you NOTHING to be on it. If you choose to remain on the waiting list there is a 400.00 discount when your turn is up as opposed to purchasing a unit of limited quantity sold at retail on the website. He knows how to manage his business and there are a ton of satisfied owners me included. I didn't wanna wait six months for my Ultra so I spent the extra cash and purchased one of the few he keeps on hand.

And for customer service, I think he practically invented it. You can survive as a small company ONLY if you have great customer service. Updates including firmware and patches are free! And Cliff is on the Axe Forum daily always helping to solve problems and answer questions. Yes, REAL solutions. Not some bullshit answer like "read the manual" or dishing out empty promises on a regular basis.

Unfortunately some people get the gas so bad for gear they risk their hard earned money in forms of deposits on shady, mismanaged so called "companies" that deliver nothing but smoke, mirrors and bullshit. If your a company that doesn't have the capital do build up a quality product inventory which in turn builds healthy customer relations your never going to get off the ground. Your customer SHOULD NOT BE YOUR INVESTOR! Some of these backroom so called builders need to take a few college business courses.

I fix Harleys at home on the side for people and like modding them too. But I know better than to start building choppers and selling them out of my garage. There is a huge difference in having a hobby or doing something that your great at but then having the ability to also realize you don't have the education on how to market and support your product.

The basic truth in business which cannot be circumvented is this:

Quality, Price, Service - Pick Any 2

If you have 2 of those 3 you should succeed. If you do not have 2 of those you will probably fail. It is not possible to have all 3 of those and remain a profitable business.

Cameron's quality appears to be excellent.
Cameron is not the best price.
Cameron's service is the worst.

It doesn't take a genius to conclude that his business will fail until he makes adjustments.

The Camerons price and quality is right in the ballpark with many other amp mfg's and they are IMHO better then more then a few mfg's. Chris and Mark are working on the service as we speak. There are guys selling plexi clones for 3 grand for Gods sake and the camerons have way more features and tones in them and more then some boutique amps.
I also can tell you for a fact that there business is fine and not failing at all.
I just think that they need to tighten up the comunication and of course clear up the other issues that were mentioned and then they will be Golden.
