when i first spoke with scott about 2 years ago it was him and 2 guys building the amps, so thats 3 guys total, i forgot how many amps he was building a week but even if he was doing everything by himself he would still be alot quicker than cameron. like his amps or not scott is very reliable and appreciates his customers. people can get pissed all they want and hate splawn amps but scott is known for delivering the goods while some guys are known for great amp mods that might take 2 years to get back if you ever get your amp back.

He started his business longer than two years ago. Back in '02 or so, he was still just doing mods, and occasionally buying a used Plexi RI and modding them, and he wasn't quite as proficient as he is now. At the time, I had a Plexi RI in the classifieds and he had emailed me about it and told me he'd take it. Said he was going to send a Money order, a week later he said he was going to send me a money order, then finally told me he couldn't afford it and backed out. Around that time, people were complaining a little bout the slow mod times too. That didn't make him a bad business man, or shady, it just meant he was struggling with the new aspect of business, and he had to pull through it. It happens.

I think MC needs to have some better communication etc, but this entire thread is nothing more than beating a dead horse, complaining and bitching by people that have no stake in the matter just for the hell of it, and it's ridiculous.

At the same time I empathize with those customers who feel like they're getting screwed. That sucks ass and is undeserved.

The bottom line IMO is this: Mark and Chris have made some serious mistakes. And they know they have. And if you think they dont know that then Ill have Ralph come over there and beat you to death with a tack hammer because you're a retard.

Of course they know things are not well and thats why you've seen some outbursts. And Im not justifying it it anyway, Im just saying, I think its pretty obvious that they're just as frustrated with the situation as the customers who feel like they're getting screwed.

At this point, staying out of internet flame wars, yet opening the lines of communication with their customers, building amps, and starting to ship amps is the best thing they can do IMO. Lets cross our fingers and hope our boys can get it done, because in my heart I want to see them succeed.

And they are dealing with those issues Odin. The whole taking peoples money in advance was a bad idea IMHO but it happened. With that said, Mark and Chris are no longer taking peoples money and they are working on getting the pre-paid orders out. It seems to me as if they are taking there lumps and progressing.

I still hear lots of apologists and sympathizers making excuses for Cameron and then qualifying those excuses by saying "I'm not making excuses for them, but..." Everyone can see how this may have happened, that doesn't mean anything. It's all irrelevant, the bottom line is that Cameron has taken plenty of money but hasn't delivered the product, and they don't communicate.

The bottom line is that your word is your bond, if you make commitments then you meet them. In the rare instance where you cannot meet your commitment you must go way above and beyond to clearly communicate and make up for your failure to meet your commitment.

A man's character is judged on how he handles the tough situation (communicating with people who paid and want their amps), not the easy situation (building the amps). Cameron hasn't handled the tough situation.

And keeping someone's amp for years is inexcusable no matter what.

I am staying out of the mess in general as my opinion is not the common one and also I have no dog in this fight. I have my own personnel view of Mark and yes I will have a CCM one day as imo he makes the best Marshall type amp on the planet for what I am looking for

comprehend better what I wrote, I stated besides the mistakes made MY opinion of his character is mine only. I feel bad for the people that have waited for the amp and hope that everything works out for them. My opinion is just that......mine.
