Is this part of conforming to the YT algorhithm, Bad.Seed?

Some of our beloved Youtubers need to realize that just because we don’t like it, it doesn’t automatically mean we hate it. It just means we didn’t like it, or at best felt so so about it.
This is so true. Kyle dipped his toe in nasty waters (and this coming from a plumber). If he goes full retard, he turns into fluff. Maybe that is his goal. I thought better of the guy. Time will tell. The universe has room for sellouts and genuine people both

Wonder how many new subscribers Kyle has gotten from this thread.

Canada definitely gets free health care but I think Glenn's point was he's taking some time off to be there for his wife and still needs views.

That is true, weeding out dumbasses is something this forum is great at. I still remember the drama of that "20 watt amps sound the same as 100 watt amps" guy, it was hilarious. Most other places wouldn't have allowed all the shit that drove him off and he would have kept on with his nonsense for other people looking for real info.

I just hope the same qualities that keep this place sharpened don't file the knife down to the nub.

ToneDig?

(similar thread too btw)

I cannot believe the sheer fucking hubris of people sometimes

Like, a random beginner level guitar guy who watched too many instagram "MONENITIZE AND BE AN ENTREPRENEUR" videos thinks he can just bullshit a bunch of seasoned engineers, players, and collectors who congregate around this space on the interwebs

And not only bullshit his knowledge about it, but write a book to teach others and charge money for it!

Yeah, he said 100 watts was way overkill and if you can't do it with 20 watts you're doing it wrong

I'll be the first to admit there's a place for both (given that I own 2 lunch box heads), but basically he's telling me he's never played a real big stage. :ROFLMAO:

I've played for a crowd of 3k+ on a big stage and not a second did I think "you know what, I don't need all that push, volume, 'tonal girth', etc. on stage. I'll just bring my Ironball and a 1x12 cab." HELL. FUCKIN'. NO!
I brought the Invader 100 and a 4x12 and I *still* wanted some extra on my floor wedge monitors, since the stage was big enough.

Recently I did a festival where I brought both my Marshall 2x12 cabs for a 3/4th sized full stack. Sounded bloody marvellous, and I'm not even from the UK!

I actually strongly prefer the sound and feel of a 100 w head versus a 50 w head, even with both at the same volume.
For me, it has nothing to do with volume or the size of the stage as much as the tone.

Same, the headroom and low end behave completely differently

I think there's a place for both the big guys and the little guys, though - I just couldnt fathom how he (the tone dig) was going that far in on "youre an idiot and there's no difference whatsoever"
