Man, John Sykes passed away.

This fills in the blanks on why he went (and stayed) dark for so long. I respect keeping the battle private as the last thing you need is people asking you about it, or to read about it in the news. Quite shocking and surprising. Same age as Eddie as well.

fwiw i emailed dave friedman to see if they'll be doing a tribute tonetalk episode. he said maybe yes, maybe if you all are interested, email him as well?

itd be nice to hear some stories and come together as a group i think...
 
RIP, I knew this one would hit a lot of us hard,, crushing news,,,,,, def sad. Condolences to his family and anyone affected. I am at a loss for words,,

Well, I waited until I was 66 and I'm soon to be 75. I should have done what a friend of mine and his wife did; they have been married ~45 years and during that time saved and invested every nickel and dime they could instead of like me, owning high end guitars and cars etc. and put four kids through college and are living very, very well right now. That's the secret. Oh yeah, they own three homes outright as well. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Oh well.
