Tight then a JB and brighter not as aggressive as either. But it has a singing quality that’s cool. I ultimately would rather have an l500xl in this guitar but like the full shred lookHow does the full shred compare to an SD or JB?
With the lead ch gain at 8, and Vol 1 pulled/Dimed, Treble pulled dimed yes, absolutely with every one of my 4 (SRG, HRG, HRG ++, KRG). That's why I'm not up in arms about that clip or description. With mine, the gain at 4-5 was more than enough. No feedback for me.So the question is do the OG ones have the squeal as well? So far some people say no, others yes.
Maybe there will be a mod around this problem.
I am just wondering, if the people at Gibson were aware of this problem or if they just kept playing "dad rock" while testing the amp. In the end, it is a money grab for the company, so redesigning the product at any stage of the development would have cost them money and time.
What a piece of trash. Another internet coward.Whoever posted this comment should be ashamed of himself...

It has begun, only took less than five days. Enjoy your Chibsons.
It’s funny because your white girlfriend is his mother. It’s all good dude I think that stuff is funny
On the IIC/+ yes. As I understand it though on the IIBs, where the Gain Boost plates came from, the function was different. I don't recall the specifics though. If you by gain boost mean the pull function on the Master 1 knob that is actually the same as the pull deep. Gain boost is just what the old IIC faceplates said, the function is the same.
Youtube comments are the cesspool of the internet. Someone could post a video feeding 100,000 homeless children and someone would make a rude comment.Whoever posted this comment should be ashamed of himself...

FWIW my JP2Cs esentially did this same thing, and they were RCS designed. it's possible this is a factor of modern things and not this amp specifically? It’s audible at extreme settings but still present in the amp at above 20KHz in non-extreme settings. You’ll find this amp will eat tubes pre and power until it’s resolved. That fuzz you hear in the topmost frequencies in the gain is caused by instability. The amp needs recalled and fixed.
@frontline205 hey man I'll be in Ft Collins with some time to kill Friday morning. If you still have it maybe I can come check it out?
and this is likely the same with every amp company.
I made a similar video the other day, linked below.
Working on the comparison this morning.
@pipboy90 is coming over this afternoon to check it out and bringing his Mark IV. I'll try to get some in-the-room clips while he's here too.
My Electra Dyne does this squeal, but my Rectifiers do not. The Mark VII does at some point also. Not sure on the JP2C, need to set that one up again soon.FWIW my JP2Cs esentially did this same thing, and they were RCS designed. it's possible this is a factor of modern things and not this amp specifically?
