Honest question for the fanbois;

Does the price not bother you at least a little bit? Are you just numb to the 5-10k price tags of the OGs that this looks like a bargain to you to spend on? I see Mesa’s other brand new offerings for equal or less prices with WAY more features and versatility that lend themselves much more value.

Gibson is smarter than you think. You lost this round.

I’m not hating on the amp at all and I really do hope everyone who ordered one is beyond happy with their purchase. I really do. It’s just for that price you can get so much more value from another amp, like the new Bogner Snorkler for instance, same dual mode shared EQ thing but only $2879.

That's an honest question. At my local Canadian dealer, the IIC+ price is in between a Mark VII and JP2C. Considering it was a reissue and that it was more of an old school type of amp with less features (I already have a CabClone IR and an attenuator) and by the fact the IIC+ channel of my MarkV:25 is my favorite, I decided to go with the Reissue knowing I would not need all the switches, knobs and other options available on the VII and JP2C.

It all depends on what you are looking for.

It should be priced similar to a JCM800 2023 reissue IMO.

It only comes down how close it is to original. If it really is, this isn’t even an argument. No ammount of options or possibilities will overshadow the sound if it is there.

I do; and I am:

second song off the upcoming album dropped today:

Damn, I iove that solo at around 5:55. The tone and playing is killer. Reminded me of Blues Saraceno a little at first and caught me offguard.
Hopes are high for the rest of the album.

It's still early on release day, on this big day for amps. The polls are soon closing in the mountains and west coast. We only have available clips so far, but it seems "Cancelling my pre-order" is really beginning to surge ahead, based on the clips we have heard. This one is gonna go late through the night, possibly when those Ola voters are counted...we will see.

I had high hopes. Good sounding reviews zero. Crickets. Seems big release day is more like the launch of the titanic
Titanic failure.

As the fat lady steps up to the microphone………..

Fingers still crossed. But hopes dwindling

Horses for courses... It's just...this one ain't no chuggin' horse and it's really afraid of treble. :censored:

...but his original 2C+ also actually has a blue pilot light!:p
That's what you get if you have a broken one serviced in the last decade or so.

Jesus.

Whoever decided that Mark amps should still be sold, much less demo'd, in 1x12 open back combo format should be escorted straight to the nearest nursing home.

Well, speaking as an old man, guess what? A lot of us have the money to buy them and last time I checked, companies make products in order to sell those products to customers who want to own those products. Aaaaaaand... I can always run that combo into a 4x12 if I want to.
