This is a forum with only a handful of active members who I'll likely never meet, some have already made their mind up of me so why do I need to prove anything? And what do I have to gain by telling anyone about my church, family or church band here? Especially of those members act like this? Furthermore, this isn't a praise and worship forum and there's even been a few times where I was insulted because I stated metal wasn't my thing.

Maybe there's a church thread in the OTC section - If it's anything like these parts, friend, I am scared to look 🤣

Maybe. But ultimately this is a public venue. It’s literally open to the entire world. I actually think people who post their real info are kind of retarded, unless they are taking care to craft a public persona I guess. But that defeats the point of just being free to say what’s on your mind. Nothing is totally anonymous anyways, but there’s no need to make it easy for anyone, especially only to prove to some internet dork that you actually play guitar or gig.

Exactly. No offense to anyone here but yeah, not gonna tell anyone anything beyond the basics. People seem to have some kind of issue thinking it's limited to band stuff, I'm talking not only band but family, location, church, etc. And there's also a trolling going on here just because people aren't accepting the facts. And that's very strange....

For instance, It's mind blowing that someone could think that I collect gear to watch it rot and not believe that I gig or play regularly somewhere at all. Do people here besides the 3 or 4 that have an issue with me really think I don't play anywhere, let alone where I play? Mega church on Sunday, intimate tiny barn church on Saturdays. Why lie about being involved and using gear at either? Or better yet, it's easy for those 3 or 4 people to believe the small church on Saturday but not the mega church on Sundays. Amazing stuff!

I don’t get the thinking that posting a vid of gear and/or playing is taking to the level of posting your address and social on the dark web. It’s not like you have to even put yourself in the frame to make it get across what it needs to do.
But I don’t know how many cameras saw me today, or how many more phone calls I’m going to get that are scams or trying to buy my house (I’m not listed or selling) or how much unsolicited junk mail I’ll get or spam emails and texts that keep asking me how my day was or do I want to get lunch tomorrow.
In other words, we have a lot more to worry about than if someone sees your mug and learns your name on a fuzz shoot out.

I've never lied on this forum or qny forum. Not sure what you're on about. You're the one that made up a bunch of stories on the MXR thread, like "You don't even have the pedal!" And then when I post a video of me holding it you whined and said "You're psychotic! Mods where are you!!!!"

And yeah, I don't play guitar, never reviewed guitars, amps, pedals, never modified anything. You got me ;)

Josh homme is a really good one - the weird part is that I never thought his tone was all that great to begin with, though

It certainly is different (especially in the time period) to what was going on in guitar music at the time, gotta give him that
