Project 2025...

😂
It’s funny watching JohnnyGtar single handidly take on the mantle of kameltoe in a guitar forum where nobody’s mind has ever been changed about anything…
Multiple threads of bs that everybody sees right through, hundreds of replies, hours and hours pouring over fake videos he thinks will show us how we are hoodwinked by the orange man..

And there are 100 days left…
I’ll bet you can’t keep it up till the election.
Better get some Red Bull or some cocaine
😂😂
Carry on!

Were you praising Biden when the stock market was climbing? Somehow I doubt it.
you did miss it; I said last week I was doing better than ever financially, except for Biden's disastrous 2022 with many having a net loss for the year.

this week has been all downward, and not small drops, drops of 100s of points, and over 1% in the main indices: S&P, Dow, Nasdaq, Russel 2000.

We will survive. We always do.

The usual conservative circle jerk here in this forum was boring. LOL

Depends on how well you've managed your money.
nope. the markets are not in the control of individual investors. a six figure loss in 3 days will take weeks or months to undo. market losses are always bigger and faster than gains.

Bah. Humbug. You have no control over your money? Nonsense.

I don't think I could ever get beyond gold, silver, and real estate and maybe a few waffle houses if I had money to invest. I want physical ownership of real property. In my mind the stock market is like a trip to the casino when I would rather play Texas Hold Em at my own 24 hour breakfast joint.

not as bad as a casino; once you find your areas. I'm doing well in general, but to see months of gains wiped out in three days isn't easy.

my main number I track is my change in market value (avg. per month, per year, YoY, and over several years) vs how much I'll need in retirement from my investments depending on when I retire, social security income, medical insurance costs before and with medicare, inflation, etc. As long as I'm earning min of 2x what I need, I'm covered. What I'm earning vs what I need is actually much higher, for years now.

I'm also slowly transitioning some assets to ETFs that pay dividend income; I've owned these for several years; and so far so good; now I'm just adding more principal. The average annual dividend for my portfolio of ETTs over the last several years is around 11.8% per year (lowest around 8.x%, and highest around 16%) while the per share prices stay relatively constant. So with a relatively small % of overall investment, even at the lowest ROI, the dividends will cover more than half (~70%) of my retirement income needs. There are ETFs with greater, aggressive returns but not what I need in retirement; I want consistency with lower risk.

I didn't say a single thing to imply what you said.
you asked about control over my money. it's in the market, when the market falls because of the DNC anointing Kameltoe over the weekend, no one had control over their investments unless they wanted a loss; billionaires and insiders can avoid that or make the market move in their favor.

my last response was on point, if you make your own investments at least.
