And where to the birds fly? In English how do you distinguish between space and the atmosphere? Calling it all "the heavens" is very unhelpful and frankly absurd.
Go look at the Hebrew. Same word.

So is space, sky and atmosphere.
Summarize your point. Repackaging what was the "heavens" for thousands of years into "space" a 150 years ago as we entered the age of rabid secularism doesn't sell me on the sci fi stuff.

My point is "The Heavens" is a vague word encompassing the sky, the atmosphere and space which are all subsets. We can be a bit more descriptive and specific than "the heavens" and sometimes you need to be more specific because you can't say the astronauts in the heavens capsule left the heavens and re-entered the heavens and hit a bird flying in the heavens.

There were probably idiots way before us that tried the same thing we are, hit the van allen belt and got toasted.

Space is also a vague word that is supposed to encompass the universe when heavens does just fine. It's all about repackaging stuff in secular language to further remove religion from thought, from society.

You're assuming that those things exist instead of reading what the book says.

When I last spoke with God; She told me that the Earth was round.
That's my entire argument.

So much for "sola scriptura" eh?
Scripture is silent on it.

What do you call a computer. It's not mentioned in the scripture.

Do you call a computer a rock with a vision of seraphim and demons that the many fingered beast tapped on making words spring forth?

Scripture is silent on it.
It is only described as the heavens, never "space" in the bible.

There is a lot out there, Von. But it is not for us to know. Well, most of us. But is it is vast and beautiful. And even to see it, we cannot comprehend it.
