You'd be much more likely to be condemned for that among baptists than you would orthodox. We worry about what is on our plate, not everyone else's like you protestants do with your outward christianity.
on the contrary,

everything is permittable provided it isn't sinful to God.
Man's chief end is to Glorify God and Enjoy Him forever

I love Van Halen, Mark Tremonti, Andy Timmons and Gary Moore. I love good cigars and craft beer.
I love learning things and reading about theology and studying my bible
and there is freedom as AGAIN CLEARLY OUTLINED IN ROMANS 14

having said that, I don't celebrate christmas because I don't really understand what we are celebrating.
for the same reason I don't celebrate halloween. I do celebrate the heck out of thanksgiving though.
Love football and turkey!

I see we are name calling.

Christmas isn't in the bible. Why are you defending it? You took a position and now you are backtracking. It's not in the bible. Quit defending holy tradition.
yea I've had about enough of you slandering us.
You started this whole mess back in post #35. Anyone can go look it up.

You aren't going to slander me anymore.
Why are we even talking about Christmas? It isn't in scripture fool.

Yeah well we don't have thanksgiving so I'm going to celebrate Christmas. I'm not going to miss out on a nice Christmas dinner - it's not sinful. We can still give thanks to God for it and remember Jesus' birth.

God has given us freedom to enjoy ourselves within his commandments.
Show me that in scripture. Show me Christmas in scripture. Show me Easter in scripture. You guys chose a line of argument i.e "not found in scripture" and now your heretical brand of faith is being ripped asunder.

I'm defending freedom idiot.

Welcome to orthodoxy and thank you for admitting there is something to holy tradition.

here it is AGAIN

1Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on opinions. 2One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only. 3The one who eats must not view the one who does not eat with contempt, and the one who does not eat must not judge the one who eats, for God accepted him. 4Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5One person judges one day above another, another judges every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. 6He who regards the day, regards it for the Lord, and he who eats, eats for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who does not eat, for the Lord he does not eat and gives thanks to God. 7For not one of us lives for himself, and not one dies for himself; 8for if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. 9For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
10But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you view your brother with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. 11For it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, to Me every knee shall bow,
And every tongue shall confess to God.”
12So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.

Show me that in scripture. Show me Christmas in scripture. Show me Easter in scripture. You guys chose a line of argument i.e "not found in scripture" and now your heretical brand of faith is being ripped asunder.
I did - above.

but again:

Ecclesiastes 8:15 Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun than to eat and to drink and to be merry, for that shall abide with him from his labor the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.

I'm defending freedom idiot.
Name calling tells me I have you flustered. You took a line of reasoning and now it's being ripped apart. You defend holidays not found in scripture, contrary to your own talking points. But seriously, I welcome you to unwrap that new Norelco shaver and enjoy those isotoner gloves with a nice cup of hot apple cider and santa's cookies this year. Welcome to holy tradition. Welcome to orthodoxy!

Not something in direct contradiction to the bible fool.
So the birthday of sol invictus, Dec 25th, and celebrating it, isn't condemned in the bible? Show me where the word "Christmas" is found in scripture.

There is nothing wrong with celebrating or enjoying secular things if they are not covered by the Bible and are not contrary to God's commands - full stop.

Paul made that clear in books like Romans too.

we are defending the FREEDOM to acknowledge one day
as already highlighted in the text from Romans 14.

I think you are by far the stupidest person I have ever come across with regard to simple reason and logic. I mean for real man, how old are you, 11?
you have the intellectual capacity of a child.

That's not a scripture encouraging the celebration of Christmas. Show me where it says Christmas. IT"S NOT IN THE BIBLE.

I like how he comes back refreshed and apologizing each time and then not five minutes later he's at it calling names, all worked up... It's like a comedy routine.
That's that outward protestant christianity at work. Believe as I do or get called names. Sad when I can have a reasonable "God" discussion with a dude who sort of has luciferian beliefs but when I discuss it with "fellow" believers I am called an idiot. That's because they are heretics and basically serve dark forces unwittingly.

I'll take that as a compliment 🤔

You can argue until you are blue in the face. He won't accept a spheroidal Earth either. He a full blown conspiracy theorist.

The gospel isn't compatible with secular logic. You are demonstrating your lack of application by insulting me repeatedly over a theological discussion that you just lost because your own claims weren't consistent. You advocated for non biblical holidays. But as i said, welcome to orthodoxy. You can dispense with your legalistic sola scriptura spiritual strait jacket now.

We have already said there is nothing in the Bible saying to celebrate Christmas. There is however nothing in the Bible that says we can't.

So what stupid point are you making - we are allowed to celebrate whatever we want as long as it's not idolatry or immoral etc or breaking some other command.

Also define celebrate. I'm not celebrating Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny that's for sure. I enjoy the time with family and the festival and we remember the reason for it as well which is Jesus' birth and death depending on which festival. So what?
