I bet you take time off from work when Christmas day rolls around just like my atheist friends do. Most protestants don't believe your sola scriptura bullcrap and most protestants celebrate Christmas. Keep going and you'll be jewish soon. :LOL:
 
I don't celebrate either, but the fact is Paul addressed this and specifically warned against what @VonBonfire is doing right now.

Romans 14
1Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on opinions. 2One person has faith that he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats vegetables only. 3The one who eats must not view the one who does not eat with contempt, and the one who does not eat must not judge the one who eats, for God accepted him. 4Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5One person judges one day above another, another judges every day alike. It's just a word that means respect. You show respect for the Lord by attending church, by doing good deeds, etc. We show respect for those who have given their lives for the faith. Only a misguided prod would find an issue with that.

Yes exactly. The Romans had certain customs etc that didn't relate to religion. You don't have to always throw the baby out with the bath water.

we are never going to get anywhere if you just keep operating in sin and lashing out at fellow believers for not adhering to your "early church fathers traditions". @Thumbpicker and I have rightly dealt with the word of God, we have presented our positions in a clear fashion. There is no mystery or hat trick here. You my friend are in error and are on a dangerous slope.

We can still celebrate Christmas as the time Jesus' birth even if it truly may well not be the exact time of year it happened. We mark the occasion. Nothing wrong with that.

If Christmas draws attention to Jesus each year to people who may not be exposed to it during the year then that's a good thing.

A protestant who doesn't celebrate christmas and believes in sola scriptura is probably a protestant who doesn't even go to church.

Monte, what's your denomination or are you just going to say "bible believing church" and then accept Christmas gifts from the congregation? :LOL:
