Well All My Gear May Be Destroyed...

Some did. For fuck's sake, don't some of you have anything better to do than bash my state right now? We don't need salt rubbed in our wounds while we're in the midst of being wounded? Go play your guitars.
Sorry man, the whole country is watching this in horror, including myself. My state has the same mismanagement, and it scares me. No one is bashing the people of California, only prayers/wishes that everyone makes it out ok.

Edit: I'm a bit sensitive to this, since my house almost burned down a year ago. The decrepit powerlines crossed the cables lines on my block, and sent power down everyone's cable lines. It lit up everyone's cable entry on my block, it looked like mad max. I had to wake up an elderly neighbor while I put out his house fire. We also pay some of the highest taxes in the country, and our infrastructure is made of duct tape and bailing twine.

We don't need you to bash ANYTHING to do with our state right now, OK? Is THAT so hard to grasp?

Thank you for your prayers and kind wishes. Much appreciated.

Man, I know the feeling. Almost lost our house to fire a long time ago. I'm glad your house was saved! Back in the late 80's I had to get my girlfriend's father (who was for all intents and purposes an invalid) out during a fire and it was very difficult because he was in no shape to walk. Thankfully got him out of there.

Thanks man, I feel so blessed/lucky I was home and able to catch both of our houses quick. I feel for everyone going through this. It brings back that feeling of helplessness. Once stuff goes up, there is no saving it without risking your own safety. It sucks. We lost a house when I was young kid from a lightning strike. Even though it sucked, we had a very good community to help us. I hope the same happens in this case.

No one's bashing California or its people and rubbing salt in wounds. Unfortunately the state is run by imbeciles who need to be called out and held accountable for their incompetence.

There's a lot of "leadership" across the country that needs to be called out for incompetence. Some places are lucky enough to not have anything detrimental happen yet. Some like California are not so lucky.

Earthquakes / Wildfires / Hurricanes / Tornados / 100+ mile an hour winds / Ice / Snow are "natural disaters" nobody is "responsible." Pipe the fuck down as people recover.

Natural disasters can't be avoided, but damage caused can be mitigated with proper preparation. In the case of wildfires, maintaining the underbrush and having resources readily available to fight any fires that spring up is a start. Someone is most definitely responsible when warning signs are ignored and precautions are not taken. Maybe speak up and hold those responsible parties accountable so next time preventative actions are taken people don't have to recover.

I would imagine going thru life in your present form its only a short amount of time until someone beats the Holy Hell out of your asshole.

I'm thankful it appears our California members didn't suffer any major losses in the blaze. That's a real blessing to give thanks for.

"O Almighty and merciful God, I most humbly thank Your divine majesty for Your loving kindness and tender mercies, that You have heard my humble prayer and graciously delivered me from my trouble and affliction. Grant me, I beseech You, Your helping grace, that I may walk in Your holy commandments and lead a life of praise and thanksgiving to You, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen."

Dust the sand out of your vagina and calm down. I know it's hard for you to tell the difference, but pointing out failures in a State's leadership isn't bashing the people of California.

well, the majority of people in California voted for the demoncrats in charge, and have been voting for demoncrats for decades.

Here in Tx we have power issues every single summer and most winters. Remember the ice storm a couple years ago that knocked out power for millions for over a week, killed 150 people, and flooded over 1000 homes. And the Republicans who run the state have done zero to improve the grid. They refuse to tap into the US grid that would prevent the problems so they can keep electric rates high. So the people running red states are just as dumb as the blue.

When the chips are down I'll take a less reliable grid and lower taxes. I watched people who KNEW that storm was coming and waited until after work the day of to try and find a loaf of bread. While I had sympathy for them it's pretty short sighted to take power and water for granted and assume staple items will remain available regardless of where you live when severe weather events are happening. Besides all that, TX is so large and the current influx of new people so large it's not possible to really have reliable infrastructure. The same goes for the roadways. Population growth exceeded all the estimates of planners so even when they finish the Austin area I-35 flyovers it's still gonna be a mess as usual.

I guess these fires got worse overnight and a firefighter warned that if the FIRE jumps the 405 highway then Beverly Hills, Brentwood will be in it's wake.

I hope the CAL FIRE can get a handle on this thing soon for those that still have their homes intact! What a shit show.........
