Well All My Gear Maybe Destroyed...

Wow. Sorry to hear about that, but glad you're safe. Given our local weather woes over the last several days (blizzard and ice storm), I hadn't seen what was going on in the rest of the country.

Be safe and best wishes to all. I pay alot for insurance hope you'll have it.
Hope B.A.D. / Tone Merchants is okay they already had one fire a while back.

I live in the heart of Pacific Palisades, CA and half the town is on fire as I write this. Most of all my favorite guitars were left under an emergency evacuation (I couldn't get to my home before the fire department shut down the area). I suspect I won't know if my house burned down until tomorrow. I'm safe in a hotel in the South Bay, grateful to be alive...Sometimes you just have to live in acceptance I guess.
Good luck man. I lost almost all of my amps, cabs, rack and board years ago in a fire. Most important thing is you are safe, everything else can be replaced.

If shit goes bad and you need something to play while dealing with all the BS hit me up and I'll see if I can send ya something to tie you over! I'm on the East Coast but will do my best if you're stuck. Good luck brother!

I really hope it works out for you and everybody else. Watching closely here from Santa Monica.

I'm in the South Bay and even from here the air quality is rough. I can't imagine how it was for you up there. Very glad you evacuated and your family are safe. I saw people leaving their cars on the road and bottlenecking traffic to get out of the Palisades when there's only one way up and down it.

i’m visiting my family out in socal/ inland empire to meet my newest granddaughter and celebrate another granddaughter’s 4th birthday and we’re safe but watching the news praying for those affected. terrible. 1000 buildings destroyed thinking about just celebrating Christmas/New Years and little kids dealing with this.
having worked all over LA, Pasadena, Malibu, and seeing what is happening being so similar to Lahaina, this hits me personally.
i was planning a trip to the Tyler shop Friday but there is a Hurst fire near their location and i just hope they are safe and spared.

That sucks big Time. I'll kee!p my fingers crossed for you

Wow. Best of luck bro. Like @Erock said you can't replace your life. :dunno:

This sucks though. Is there an app or anything available that shows the damaged areas? I guess this thing moves so fast ain't nobody got time for that.

My thoughts are with you and your gear. I'm actually headed to SD in a few days and then up to North Hills, CA so not too far from there.

Watch Duty is the best app for tracking the fires and updates.

Palisades fire is around 3,000 acres. But the Eaton fire is now 10,000.

Is that something that will work nationwide? When there are fires up here in my AO I am able to pull up the fire dept radio chatter streamed on my computer or phone. We had a couple close calls in 2023. They were able to stop it about 250 feet from my brothers front door. He lives up the hill just a little further than me and had enough time to get his animals and leave, about 2 minutes, by the time he realized what was happening.

That’s a good question. I’m not sure if it’s regional or nationwide. It has the most current updates and even videos of the hot spots.

That really sucks man! I hope your house gets spared.....but at least with fire the insurance will cover everything unlike those poor people in North Carolina that won't see a single dollar if it can be classified as a flood.......

My ex-wife was an insurance agent and she recommended policy owners take polaroid hard copy pictures of all their household belongings/collectibles of value that are in the house and store those pictures in a fireproof safe or bank safe deposit box outside of the house otherwise there might be a maximum payout of contents of the house compared to replacing expensive or vintage appreciating value items.

As painful as loosing one’s gear is, especially when it’s not insured. And I speak from experience. I was unconscious inside the room where the fire started. Gear is just things…replaceable. Life, well you got one.

This is terrible!
Hoping for a good outcome for you and above all, you and your family are safe because that you cannot replace!
