I see you have an FX8, I’ve been considering selling my 6505MH and getting an FM9/headphones for a noodling amp. How do either compare for practicing? Worth keeping around my 6505MH?wow some of you guys are out of control LOL!
I just have my Splawn EL-34 Supersport and my Peavey 6505MH as my back up/noodling amp)
would love to pick up another Mesa Mark IV "B" but with the way prices have been going that ship has sailed

I just grabbed this because it was dirt cheap(scored a deal on it) and when I don't feel like firing up the Splawn I use it to practice and noodle through. It's officially my "back up head" in case the splawn dies on me. the FX 8 is effects only , no modeling. I used to have an Axe FX II that I used to use for practicing/noodling all the time. I ran it through a pair of KRL Rokit 8 monitors and it was great. it really comes down to personal preference I guess. the 1 watt mode on the 6505mh through my 2X12 cab is great for late night noodling so I use it like that a lot.I see you have an FX8, I’ve been considering selling my 6505MH and getting an FM9/headphones for a noodling amp.
