Just use the Boss WAZA TAE. I have one and use it with my AXE FX 3 powering 2 412 cabinets with stellar results. I can get my rig to sound identical to my real Friedman BE100 DLX.. What is nice is that with the Boss TAE is that I can have my real Friedman and my AXE FX 3 connected at the same...
Thank you for the reply. I also apologize for being lazy about not posting a picture. I have the matching neck pickup but haven't taken it out to see the sticker on it. The bridge pickup definitely did have the black PAF sticker with the gold lettering on it.
Nice sounding but want something...
I have an Orville Les Paul that has been modified. In the bridge I just removed the pickup and it has the PAF sticker on it and another label that has this written on it:
#2 AL 5 Wound By PS
Can't find too much on the web other than a few similar pictures of the same labels but nothing that...
If someone could build one and sound identical if not better and only be work $1k to $2k I would jump all over it and so would plenty of others. I could care less about the name of the guy that did the build or mod. Guys like David Hopkins with his Pandora Mods or Shea at Monomyth are two that...
Amen. I hate the power switches being on the back of the amp. I have an amp rack at my home studio/man cave and like to have the Friedman in the rack case. Problem is that I cannot easily turn on/off the amp unless I just have it tied into my Furman Power Strip and use the Furman as my main...
I have done these online between my real BE 100 Deluxe and my AXE 3. Both running through real 412 cabinets and both going through a BOSS TAE to power the cabs. Every time people would comment that the tone that they thought was the real tube amp was actually the AXE 3. Usually the flatter...
If it is just get normal Floyd Rose and get the brass fine tuners separately and install yourself. I have done this on numerous FR's of mine. Cheaper as well.
I would contact David Hopkins on this site and send your amp to him. He will make your JCM800 clone into something really special. Lots of his work can be found on YouTube under the Hopkins Pandora mod. I have a JCM800 reissue that he did and it is killer. I don't know what he charges as...
For sale an excellent condition Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional with Floyd Rose and case. This guitar comes equipped with an EVH bridge pickup and Gibson Classic 57 in the neck. The quick connect system has been removed but will be included as part of this sale. Comes with Floyd Rose Big...
Yeah between the phone recording, too many effects, flurry of notes, bad lighting and most of all the bad hair day, etc you still sold me! Great tone as always!
What is your take on the difference in tone on the gain channel of the SS-100 and the BE DLX? I have the BE DLX and to me the SS-100 has more "snap" and "kerrang" to the tone, definitely more open and less compressed.
I have never owned a Kemper but have owned every Fractal Audio device since they came out. Gave modelers a break to go back to tube amps. My line up is Friedman BE DLX, Cameron modded and JCM 800 with the Hopkins Pandora mod. I run these out of 2 real 412 cabinets with GB top and V30s bottom...
I play 100 watt tube heads with 2 412 cabinets at absolute whisper volumes with my Boss TAE. At whisper volumes my tone still sounds huge ala EVH VH1/2 as a reference.
Ibanez GIO. You can get these in the short scale that is perfect for younger kids. Two humbuckers fixed bridge for under $100 on ebay or Music Go Round. Great little guitars. I got one for my daughter years ago.
A Boss TAE and any 100w or 50w head and 412 cabinets. Honestly I run my 100w heads into a TAE and through 2 real 412 cabinets at absolutely whisper volumes and the tone is 80's EVH, Dokken, Ratt, etc all day long. For the price of the TAE, you can keep you original tube amps and have a face...
Hopkins Pandora Modded JCM800 is the way to go. If you want early EVH to Wylde to even heavier, this amp does it in spades. I have one with the Pandora mod, V mod and voltage drop switch. I run mine on the low input and with a boost in front and this is the liveliest, heaviest, chewiest, most...
