This thread was a good laugh. I have to agree though. It just doesn’t make sense to slam the front end of your amp with a pedal marked “heavy” to purposely compress/saturate the preamp, then roll back the volume on the guitar. Just counter productive.

I got in on the Airis Green Drive run. That pedal is a beast. Very similar to the fortin modded od9.

Go with the Boss ES series. I have both the ES-8 and the ES-5. If you can swing it and have room, go with the 8. It has more features and a moveable volume loop that plays well with the fx loop in the stealth.

I’ve got several Airis drives. All great, but the Savage drive is the most aggresive of all. It can get harsh quick. In front of a dual rec it kills though.
