I agree the ideas of this religion are kinda out there - but it's amazing the number of successful musicians and actors that are members.

This is what I was talking about when I brought up money... I think Scientology actually helps its higher level members make money. Like tax breaks through "donations" etc... Effectively making sure the rich stay rich. I mean honestly, why else would someone give up all logic in the name of fucking Xenu? Ill tell you why:

Those people preaching hate are not Christians, even though they call themselves such.

Even though Christianity has some things that are tough to believe and may be out there, I still see it as far different from Scientology which was invented by a Science fiction writer and clearly just into it for Money. People exploit and misinterpret most religions, but Scientology seems to be just about the money.

Its too bad that we as people can't accept others ideas. It used to be that just the different religions fought amongst themselves, now we are seeing people that hate all religions as is shown by some comments in this thread. Do we really need more hatred of others beliefs?

I assume you aren't referring to me because, as I said, I totally support anyone's right to believe whatever they want to believe as long as they don't hurt anyone else or try to subjugate others to their beliefs. Of course, I can still choose to believe that what someone else believes is completely ridiculous.

There are some small groups who travel campuses and do that. I would say, don't try to reason with them... it's never been much of a fruitful endeavor.

I didn't realize he was a fruitcake too. That reporter asked him about incident 2 or whatever it was, which goes back to that Xenu story of blowing up these beings in volcanos with an H-Bomb. Instead of Sheehan saying, "no man, all of that stuff is Internet rumors" or whatever, he says he can't discuss it. That type of stuff right there makes me think these leaked Internet things are real. They really do believe the Xenu story.

I heard about the xenu story around 2000-2001 and I though to myself that someone was just trying to dismantle scientology by spreading a rumor. For some reason I was still curious to see where the rumor started and after doing some research I found links to former scientologists who claim that the story is absolutely true!! If you do a search on the net, you will definitely find more information that it is true then you will claiming that its not!! Truly scary

Fruitcakeness aside, I think he seems genuine in and wants to have a dialog. Yeah, he gets himself backed into a corner but so would anybody trying to justify their faith. I'd definitely hang with him and have a couple beers.
