It can't be accurately calculated because the sun wasn't created until the fourth day. How long were the previous days then since the sun and moon are how men keep time? It's not determinable. A secret of creation. Mystery!Is that 6,000 years or the actual age of the earth?

I like those contrast pictures of news weather maps that have pretty much identical temps with one having been shown in 2005 and 2015 and the maps are made to look like hellscapes in the 2015 with red, dark red for areas that are like light yellow in the 2005 map.

ok one more question, if God rested on day 7, what did he do on day 8? Doesn’t it seem odd that they added a day 7 if he finished on day 6?

Genesis 2:2-3

And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
The Sabbath was created for man, not man for the Sabbath. See Mark 2:27

I just feel like the first 7 days gets all the attention, but little is known about what he did on day 8.
Is the sanctified 7th day understood to be Sunday?

The Sabbath is the seventh day. Sunday is the Lord's day. The light was created on the first day i.e "the Lord's day" aka Sunday.
