Well well well. So here's something interesting. Dinesh released a video of the new Les Paul Studio guitars and used a Mesa Mark JP2C in this one.
And wouldn't you know it, the tones he gets are JUST AS SHITTY with the JP2C as when he dialed in the IIC+ reissue.
Told you fuckers.
The problem is, specifically, Dinesh and people like him who have no idea what they're doing. Not the amps.
FUCKING FINALLY.
I'm not sure this is a real amp...
damn it's getting worse...
Yep! This is the way, IMO. Input 1/Vol 1 pulled, dimed...and Treble pulled, dimed. Only way to go, for my taste. I even dimed the presence which allowed me to lower the 2200 a little bit as well. Bass, mids on 0 or maybe 1. Gain 5-8, pulled would depend on speakers used. Both volumes up to 3-6 depending.Input Vol on 8, but Treble halfway up. Even I know you gotta dime the Treble w/ the input Vol 8 or dimed.
When the Synergy 2C+ came out, I remember a few guys making mediocre demos, until it got into the hands of folks who knew how to dial it in, including Steve Fryette.

This, and it's not even close.Hey now, *a 4 tube Mark. My IIB+ Coli with no negative feedback will crush any Triple, and probably most any amp out there. AND be tight AF. Ask @Beyond Black.

I hope this guy is here on RT.
How do you like it. I heard your boosted video and it did sound really good thereI am! I posted two more quick videos as well

It's the real deal, going through my friend's cab with some eminence speaker. I'll be borrowing it and running it through my v30 and greenback cabs soon.Yeah after listening again, there's something fishy about it in the high end. Either it's not the real amp or it's going through some weird IR's. I think I'm gonna delete the post for now just in case.
So it’s better for you than the jp2c? I played a jp2c next to a mark vii and felt the vii smoked the jp2cI have owned about Eight Mesa Mark IV’s and it is one of my favorite of the mark series. I did not care for the feel of the JP2C (I owned two of them). Just got the Reissue today, it does not have quite the same amount of liquid gain as a Mark IV, its a l bit less, boosted its great! It did take me a minute to dial in how i like it. The Master 1 volume does effect your lead master/gain. I have never play a real IIc+ but this seems pretty killer. I will try and do a quality recording in a few days, some of my studio gear is setup for a session this weekend

Which Mark is the most user-friendly, easiest to dial in, and won't rip your head off on .5 on the volume? I've been kicking around a Mark IV or V used.. I still don't like how everything has 1×8 and 2x4 speaker inputs
I have played a mark VII two times briefly and I think out of all of the Mark series that is by far the closest to the mark iv in sound and feel. The JP2C for me fell very short it felt stiff. I had a hard time cutting through, and I found it to be overly noisy. So it’s better for you than the jp2c? I played a jp2c next to a mark vii and felt the vii smoked the jp2c
